Huawei Sell 75 Million Smartphones in 2014, Revenue Up 30 Percent

 





Huawei Consumer Business Group a few moments ago has released its latest financial statements. Division of Huawei's consumer devices are able to record a large increase in revenue in the financial year 2014 and has achieved record revenue of more than 10 billion dollars for the first time to 12.2 billion dollars, up 30% over the previous year.

Consumer devices division noted that there are 138 million devices have been sold in 2014, up 7.8 percent compared to the previous year. A total of 75 million devices sold are smartphones, up 45% compared to a year ago period.

The increase in sales of Huawei smartphone supported by sales in the upper middle class that began in 2012 ago. The company is able to sell 4 million units Ascend P7 within 6 months since its launch last June 2014. Meanwhile phablet 7 Ascend Mate able to sell 2 million units since last September slide.

Consumers are also more and more attention in recent Huawei brand. From the survey, 65% of respondents in 32 countries have been familiar with this brand, rising from 52% in the previous year. This increase was also supported by the opening of 630 new stores at the end of 2014 Huawei ago.

Currently Huawei are competing with several other vendors to occupy the position 3 of the global smartphone seller. Xiaomi compete with Huawei, Lenovo, and LG to pursue Samsung and Apple are still dominate the global smartphone market.
